Account Deletion

InkHeart users can request to have their account and associated data permanently deleted. Follow the steps below to delete your InkHeart account.

How to Delete Your Account

In-App Deletion (Recommended)

Open the InkHeart app, go to SettingsAccountDelete Account, and follow the prompts to confirm deletion.

Email Request

Alternatively, send an email to contact@inkheart.app with the subject line “Delete My Account”.

Confirmation

We will verify your identity and process your request. You will receive a confirmation email once your account has been deleted.

What Data Is Deleted

  • Immediately deleted: Profile information, reading progress, bookmarks, library data, and coin balance
  • Deleted within 30 days: All personal data from active systems
  • Deleted within 90 days: Data in archived backups

What Data Is Retained

  • Transaction records: Purchase history retained for 7 years (legal requirement)
  • Anonymized analytics: Aggregated, non-identifiable data may be retained indefinitely

Important: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through the App Store.
